Microsoft revealed a strange printer flaw earlier this month that was impacting select users of Windows 10, Windows 11, and other Windows Server products. Even though the affected PCs weren't really running any HP printers, they seemed to have one installed, often an HP LaserJet M101-M106. This problem also recommended the download of an HP Smart printer program from the Microsoft Store, potentially overwriting the settings for whatever printer the user truly had installed.
Microsoft made it apparent that HP was not to blame for the issue, but it has yet to disclose the underlying source of the problem. For those whose PCs were impacted by the flaw, the business has since provided a remedy; however, as of this writing, Users must download and utilize a specialized troubleshooting tool from Microsoft's support website in order to proceed.
